Catherine Bracken

Catherine King Bracken, 79, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living in Brandon, MS. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bracken was a native of Atlanta, GA. She was the daughter of Fred Parker and Ethel Phillips Parker. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She always took a great interest in the Pearl Youth League as she served as treasurer of the league. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Bracken was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Parker and Ethel Phillips Parker; brothers, Raymond Parker and Clifton Parker; sisters, Susie Wilson, Grace Kellerman and Evelyn Bonner.
Mrs. Bracken is survived by her husband, Dabney M. Bracken of Brandon; children, Billy J. (Carolyn) King, Jr. of Ridgeland, Debby King (Talmadge) Jones of Brandon, Mike (Sheila) King of Pearl, Mark Bracken of Longview, WA and Bruce (Robin) Bracken of Dallas, TX; niece and nephews that she loved and cared for as her children, Jerry King, Jr., David King, Donald King and Theresa King; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank doctors and nurses at MS Baptist Medical Center 1 North; Brookdale Senior Living nurses and staff; Compassus Hospice Care and Vie Med for the exceptional care and concern.
