Cathy Diane Smith Nash, 56, passed away Mon. March 26, 2012 at the St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Wed. March 28, 2012 from 5pm.-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and from 9am.-9:45am. Thurs. March 29, 2012 at Brandon Baptist Church. Funeral Services are 10am. Thurs. March 29, 2012 at Brandon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Crestview Cemetery in Brandon, MS.
Cathy was born in New Albany, MS and has lived all of her life in Brandon, MS. She was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Cathy loved her family and her life revolved around her grandson, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Harlon Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Nash of Brandon; her mother, Alma Smith of Brandon; her son, Joe “Joey” Nash, his wife Lindsey and grandson Joe Mason Nash all of Brandon; her sister, Penny Smith Stokes of Brandon; three brothers, David Smith and wife Pansey of Katy, TX, Jeff Smith and wife Beth of Richmond, TX and Tommy Smith of Brandon. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, Miss. Chapter 3000 Old Canton Rd. Jackson, MS 39216.
