Funeral services were held 11 am Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial in the New Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation was held 6-9 pm Monday and 8-10:45 am Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Tommy Wayne Mohan and Rev. Jack Stewart officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Roland was a native of Meridian, MS. She was the daughter of Fred Riley Parker and Eula Mae Mabry. She was married to Thomas Dale Roland. Mrs. Roland was a Meat Clerk at Kroger Grocery Store in Flowood for several years and a former employee of Wal-Mart at Flowood. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.Mrs. Roland was preceded in death by her parents, Fred R. Parker, Sr. and Eula Mae Mabry.Mrs. Roland is survived by her husband, Thomas Dale Roland of Pearl; daughter, Sarah Gilchriest of Columbia, TN; son, Kenneth Gilchriest of Columbia, TN; sister, Theressa Sistrunk of Hillsboro; brothers, Fred R. Parker, Jr. of Newton, David Parker of Brandon and Douglas Parker of Brandon; grandchildren, Paige, Kasey and Kenneth Gilchriest all of Columbia, TN.Pallbearers were Lee Nordin, Sean Roland, Billy Russell, Shannon May, Wayne Mohan and John Lorts.
