Cecil N. Drake, 79, passed away at his home with family surrounded by his side.  Graveside services will be 10:00am Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Johns Cemetery.  Visitation with the family and close friends will begin at 9:30 am at the cemetery.

He was born in Simpson County on October 15, 1940 to the late Floyd and Beulah Gardner Drake. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Wesley Drake; and brother Kenneth L. Drake.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bea Drake; son, Terry Drake (Paula) of Jackson; son, James Drake (Trish) of Brandon; daughter, Carol Zea (Billy) of Mayton; brother, Bennie Drake of Brandon; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A host of other relatives and friends.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a faithful member of Christ Congregational Church of Johns, MS and a member of the Puckett Masonic Lodge.
