Cecil Talbert Swilley, 83, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at his residence. Visitation is 2-5 pm Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Swilley was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. He retired after 38 years of service in the Army National Guard and 42 years of service as a truck driver for Complete Auto Transit. Mr. Swilley was an avid MSU Bulldog fan.
His sons, John T. Swilley and Carl T. Swilley preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ellen Swilley of Brandon; daughter, Libby Essary and husband D of Houston, TX; son, Rodney E. Swilley and wife Sandy of Tampa, FL; daughter in law, Jane Swilley of Brandon; brothers, Billy Foxx Swilley of Brandon and Bobby Joe Swilley of North Carolina; grandchildren, Shelley, Brandi, Suzanne, David, Walker, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Presley, Cole, Landry and Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to any need of your local veteran or hungry children.
