On January 4, 2011, God called one of his most worthy children, Cecil Louise Watson Haas home. Cecil, 87, was born October 24, 1923, at home, in the Lodebar Community of Pelahatchie, MS. She graduated from Crossroads High School, moved to Jackson, and went to work with South Central Bell.

Cecil met her husband and soulmate, Carl A. Haas, at a USO dance in Flora. They were married March 15, 1944. She was a member of Lodebar Methodist Church in Pelahatchie and the Telephone Pioneers Club.

Cecil's life loves were her family, friends, relatives. She embraced all with concerns of physical and spiritual well being. Also, she loved to travel throughout the U.S. Hardly a mile passed that she wouldn't have a positive comment about the beauty and purpose of the scenery.

Cecil is preceded in death by her husband Carl August Haas, parents, Buren Columbus and Emma Martin Watson,and brother Bobby Ray Watson. Survivors are: daughter, Carla F. Davis (Paul), brother Bill Watson (Maxine), grandchildren Aleashia Davis Sistrunk, Paul E. Davis II, great grandchildren Carl and Emily Sistrunk, nieces/nephews Nancy Moon, Ronnie Watson, Emma Sue Evans, JoAnn Smith (TN), B.C. Watson (OK), and Jerry Hannah (TX).

Visitation will be Wed. Jan. 5, 2011 from 5pm.-8pm. and Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011 from 10am.-10:45am. at Ott & Lee Funeral home in Brandon. Funeral Services are 11am. Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011 at the funeral home with interment following at Lodebar Methodist Church Cemetery in Pelahatchie.
