Graveside service will he held at 2:30pm Friday, December 20, 2024 at Seneasha Cemetery in Goodman, MS.

Mr. Charles E. Ray, age 81, a resident of Brandon passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS.  

Mr. Ray was born in Attala County/ Newport, MS on August 12, 1943.  He loved to work and help people, garden, mow the yard and farm.  Charles enjoyed going to church and when he was growing up helping his dad work in the chicken houses.  He worked for B.C. Rogers Chicken Plant for many years as a janitor.  He never met a stranger wherever he went and he had the biggest heart to love everybody.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Ray and Mittie Lou Rule Ray; twin brothers, Mike and Ike Ray, brothers, Roy Earl and John Ray.

He is survived by his 8 siblings, Janie Nadine Ray Meek of Flowood, Margaret Ray Kennedy of Morton, Patricia Ray Clark (Francis Cleveland Clark) of Jackson, David Warren Ray (Lenora) of Moss Point, Izine Willie Ray of Morton, Janie Ray Owen of Nevada, Brenda Ray Parodi of Walnut Grove and Teresa Gail Ray Boykin of Walnut Grove and a host of friends.
