Charles Neville Hays, 72, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Richland. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Tuesday, February 19, 2013 and resume on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in County Line Cemetery in Rankin County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Hays and Lona Ponder Hays; and siblings, Ned Hays, Newell Hays, Bettie Smith, Jimmie Kinsey, Leonteen Stevens, Edwinia McIntosh, Willie B. Blackwell, and Ruth Harbin.
He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Edwards and husband Joe of Brandon; son, Charles Hays and wife Teresa of Brandon; their mother, Linda Hays; his sister, Johnnie Boyd and husband Henry of Clinton; five grandchildren, Chase Edwards, Joey Edwards, Miranda Hays and husband Tad of Daphne, AL, Jill Hays, and Cody Hays; and one great-grandson Kendall Gage Edwards.
