Charles Edward Leach, 76, a resident of Conehatta, MS died Wednesday, May 24, 2011 at home.
Visitation will be held 5-8 pm today at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Funeral services will be held
11 am Friday, May 27, 2011 at the funeral home with burial in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church
Cemetery. Rev. Heath Johnson and Rev. Joey McLeod will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Leach was a lifelong resident of Conehatta, MS. He was the son of Otis and Merle Pettey Leach. He was married to Martha Cornelia Leach. Mr. Leach and his family owned and operated Leach Brothers Trucking for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Leach proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Leach was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Merle Pettey Leach, wife, Martha Cornelia Leach, and his infant daughter.
Mr. Leach is survived by his daughter, Cindy Leach of Conehatta, MS; son, Glenn (Terri) Leach of Conehatta, MS; sisters, Jean Jones of Union, MS and Mary Frances Rhodes of Pearl, MS; brothers, Jim Leach of Kosciusko, MS and Pettey Leach of Sebastopol, MS; 2 grandchildren, Drew Leach and Jessica Leach.
