Mr. Charlie Crapps, age
88, a resident of the Branch Community north of Morton passed away on Friday,
January 25, 2013 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton. Visitation was held 5-8pm Saturday, January
26, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2pm Sunday,
January 27, 2013 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the
Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev.
Paul Smith officiated the services.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in
Morton.



Mr. Crapps was born in
Scott County in 1924 to Ernest and Jenny Denson Crapps. He was married to Helen
M. Crapps and was a member of Branch Baptist Church. He was a proud World War
II Veteran and served in the United States Army. Mr. Crapps was an Automobile
Salesman. He enjoyed hunting, working with his horses and being outdoors. He
loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his
life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death
by his parents, Ernest and Jenny Denson Crapps; brothers, Otis D. and William
Haywood Crapps.

He is survived by his
wife, Helen M. Crapps; children, Charles E. Crapps, Jr. (Janis), Jimmy G. Kreps
(Carolyn) and Martha Jones; sister, Earnestine Pigg; brother, Billy Dale
Crapps; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a
host of friends.
