Charlie Thompson Sr.

Charlie Thompson Sr., 76, passed away Fri. Aug. 17, 2018 at his home in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held on Sat. Aug. 18, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Sun. Aug. 19, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Thompson was born in Simpson County, MS in the D’Lo Community and has been a resident of Pearl, MS since 1966. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Pearl United Methodist Church in Pearl, MS. Mr. Thompson served his country from 1961-1965 in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Tyson Foods as a refrigeration supervisor, was the owner of Thompson Refrigeration and was also a partner of Family Flippers. Mr. Thompson enjoyed traveling, could fix anything and loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Thompson; two children, Elizabeth Varner (Ed) and Charles Thompson Jr.; two grandchildren, Brittany Childress (Cory) and Breanna Cauthen (Cole); two great grandchildren, Layla Childress and Lillian Childress; a third great grandchild that is due on Tues. Aug. 21, 2018, Chloe Cauthen; a sister, Shirley Little and three brothers, Dave Thompson, J.W. Thompson and Fred Thompson. Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Elzine Thompson and three sisters in Christ, Brenda Russell, Gertie McNaughton and Vaiden Barlow.
