SERVICES: 11 AM TUESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN MORTON BURIAL: MORTON MEMORIAL GARDENS VISITATION: 5-8 PM MONDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN MORTON Cheryl Annette Gregson was born July 7, 1957 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to her proud parents, Charles Franklin & Maxine Elizabeth Gregson. She passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at her home in Morton at the age of 57. Cheryl is survived by her husband: Thomas Wayne Harrell of Morton, MS; one step son: Kris Harrell of Brandon, MS; two sons: William Eric Eames of Dallas, TX; and Robert Neal Eames of Morton, as well as one grandson: Michael Taylor Eames of Brandon. She was born third in line after Charles Michael Gregson (deceased), and Rhonda Carol Rushing and her husband Ricky, of Searcy, AR. She is also survived by her sisters: Vickie Lynn Carter and her husband, Darryl of Collierville, TN., Susan Elizabeth Turner and Rhonda Carol Rushing and her husband Ricky. She is further survived by her step-father: Fred M. Walker of Byram, MS; step-brothers: Mitch Walker and his wife, Maria, Pete Walker, and his wife Marge, and Joe Walker and his wife, Teresa, all of Crystal Springs, MS. one niece and two nephews also survive from the Walker family. Cheryl came from a large family including seven nieces and nephews; eleven aunts and uncles; 29 first cousins and 41 second cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents: Robert & Mildred Nutt and Frank & Alice Gregson. Being employed by the MS State Department of Veterans Affairs Board as a State Service Officer, she worked closely with the Veterans Administration. She was a past member of the U.S. Army and also the MS National Guard. She leaves behind many veterans that she came to know and cared about deeply as well as their families.
