Christopher Emerson

Christopher Clark Emerson, 53, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon. Visitation is 5-7 pm Friday, June 14, 2019 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.  Rev. Jim Ennis will officiate.

Chris was a native and longtime resident of Rankin County and has been a resident of Leake County for the past 2 years. He worked for HD Lang and Associates in Jackson as a Party Chief for many years. Chris was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Emerson of Lena; mother, Gertrude Emerson of Pearl; children, Lindsey Emerson of Pearl, Gwen Geddes of Mobile and Josh Fortner (Mandi) of Millbrook, Alabama; brother, Richard Emerson (Janice) of Brandon; sister, Janice Smith of Pearl and granddaughter, Ruby Kathryn Fortner.  Chris was preceded in death by his father, Walter Harvey Emerson in 1997 and brother, Walter Harold Emerson in 2004.

Pallbearers are David Franklin, Josh Fortner, Eric Henry, Keith Williams, Steve Bailey and Tim Emerson.
