SERVICES: 11 AM FRIDAY AT PINELAKE CHURCH
VISIT: 9 AM FRIDAY AT CHURCH
Cindy Ellis Uschmann, 53, of Brandon, MS, a follower of Jesus, died peacefully in her home on June 13, 2012. A native of Alabama, Cindy spent most of her adult life with her family in the Rankin County area.
Helping others began early as Cindy chose nursing as her vocation. She received nurse anesthetist training at Charity Hospital where she met her loving husband, Hartmut, who was an exchange student with Tulane University.
A diagnosis of breast cancer halted Cindy’s career. She spent the next 15 years journaling the lives of her children and friends through the lens of her camera. Chemo never grounded her from attending sporting events, field trips, or traveling around the world with her family.
Cindy’s gentle spirit and sweet smile will be remembered by all those who encountered her.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Hartmut Uschmann; her children, Max and Alex; her nephew, Kevin Ellis and her mother, Dorothy Ellis. She was preceded in death by her father, Truman Ellis, and her brother, Timmy Ellis.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Pinelake Church followed by a memorial service at 11:00.
Memorials may be made to Pinelake Care Center.
