Clara J. Harrison, 67, a resident of Morton died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services were held 2 pm Thursday at Polkville United Pentecostal Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held 5-8 pm Wednesday and 12-2 pm Thursday at the church. Rev. Barron Price and Rev. Jeremy Price officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harrison was a native of Rankin Co. She was the daughter of Leroy and Lavern Ingram. She was married to Bobby G. Harrison. Mrs. Harrison served many years as store manager at the Spaceway in Pelahatchie. She was a member of the Polkville United Pentecostal Church. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Lavern Ingram, her nieces, Carol Sistrunk and Connie Sprayberry.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Harrison of Morton; step daughter, Melonie Overby of Jackson; grandson, James Overby of Madison; grand daughter, Kara Lamb of Terry; sister, Charlotte Nobles of Morton; brother, Larry Ingram of Pelahatchie; sister-in-law, Patsy Stuart (Howard) of Morton; niece, Michelle Harrell (Jimmy) of Morton; nephews, Chad Ingram of Pelahatchie, Mack Ingram (Denise) of Pelahatchie, Michael Stuart (Debbie) of Polkville and Avery Nobles (Joan) of Brandon; great niece, Heather Stuart of Polkville; great nephews, James Sprayberry of Morton, Gregory Sprayberry of Morton, Ryan Harrell of Morton and Dustin Ingram of Pelahatchie; many cousins and a host of friends.
