Clarence L. Burnham, 95, a resident of Jackson, MS, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 11am-12pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Burnham was born in Puckett, MS on Nov. 21, 1927, to the late Henry R. Burnham and Angeline Boone Burnham. He served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army. Mr. Burnham played basketball at Puckett High School, Co-Lin and UTEP. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was a basketball coach at Harrisville High School and Morton High School. He also worked as a Personnel Manager at Talon Zipper Plant in Morton, MS. Mr. Burnham was a member of First Baptist Church in Madison, MS and was a former longtime deacon at First Baptist Church in Morton, MS. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Burnham; 2 sons: Jonathan L. Burnham (Jana), Steven T. Burnham (Susan) and 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Burnham, Jackson Burnham and Heed Burnham. Mr. Burnham is also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Neely Burnham; 4 sisters: Effie Faulkner, Bessie Grantham, Rachel Smith, Hattie Burnham and 4 brothers: Truitt Burnham, C.G. Burnham, Chester Burnham and Carey Burnham.
