Claude R. Mangum Jr.

Claude R. Mangum Jr., 83, passed away on Tues. Jan. 28, 2025 in Brandon, MS. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Fri. Jan. 31, 2025 at the Old Brandon Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Mangum was born on Nov. 2, 1941 in Jackson, MS to the late Claude Richard Mangum Sr. and Annie Ruth Gunnels Mangum. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1959. Mr. Mangum served in the United States Air Force from Mar. 24, 1960 - Dec. 17, 1963 and then the Air National Guard from 1963-1966. He was a native of Rankin County and moved to Lawrence County where he was an avid deer hunter. Mr. Mangum also enjoyed going to Lola’s for food and fellowship.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Mangum and Dana W. Martella and two grandchildren, Jacob Steven Williams and Michael Carlo Martella.
