Claude Hollis Mason, 86, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was 1:30pm - 3:15pm Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services followed at 3:30pm Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment was in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS. Rev. Hoyt Ainsworth officiated the service.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Benton Mason; children, Larry Mason and wife, Carolyn of Pearl, MS, James Mason and wife Brenda of Walthall, MS, Regina Moore of Florence, MS, and Philip Mason and wife Waneese of Mendenhall, MS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elijah Mason and Addie Ola Canoy Mason; his son, Richard Mason; brothers, Wilson Mason, Charlie Mason, Paul Mason, Burt Mason, Billy Mason and Gilbert Mason; and his sister, Margarea Mason Sanders.
Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Pearson, Richard Johnson, Justin Mason, Joe Mason, Jonathan Pearson and Christopher Johnson.
