Mr. Clement Evans, age 61, a resident of Polkville passed away on July 13, 2017 at his residence. Visitation was held 5-9pm Sunday, July 16, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 1pm Monday, July 17, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Gulde Cemetery. Bro. Tal Vardaman officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Evans was born in Ludlow, MS on December 8, 1955. He loved being outdoors gardening, hunting and fishing. Clement enjoyed playing dominoes and cards. He loved tinkering on his own vehicles. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Evans; parents, Joel Evans and Dove Guy Evans and brother, Rodney Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Evans of Polkville; 2 sons, Jason Mitchell Evans of TX and Joseph Michael Evans of Polkville; 4 sisters, Dolly Lathem (Jimmy) of Morton, Shirley Richardson (Calvin) of Morton, Lizzy Mae Neese of Pearl and Lola Jean Evans of Jackson; 2 brothers, Butch Evans of Jackson and Prentis Evans (Monique) of CA; many sisters-in-law; many brothers-in-law; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Melvin Wilson, Charlie Tibbitt, Jay Mitchell, Russell Shoemaker, Jamie Craft, Robert Halpain and Johnny Paul Prestage. Honorary pallbearer was Jonathon Shoemaker.
