Cleo Thurman Walters, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior June 19, 2014. He was born to Louis and Rhudoy Lee Walters February 21, 1935 in Polkville, was a longtime resident of Pelahatchie, MS and member of the First Baptist Church. He worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron and was a truck driver for Arkansas Best Freight for more than thirty years. Cleo logged more than four million accident-free miles and was respected as a hardworking and honest employee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing things, barbecuing, good food, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Rhudoy Walters.
Mr. Walters is survived by his sister Sybil Maxine Strickland (Reginald) of Pratville, AL; his wife, Carole Ann Neal Walters, two children, Michael Walters of San Angelo, TX and Sherri Walters Lipscomb (John) of West Chester, OH and granddaughters Whitney Thompson, Mallory Walters, Emma and Cora Lipscomb. Visitation was held, Sunday June 22 from 4 to 6 pm and the funeral was held, Monday, June 23 at 11 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
