Connie Felder Waller Seay completed her earthly journey January 5, 2022.
Visitation is Monday, January 10, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with the service to follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Felder Campground Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. in Summit, MS. Dr. Keith Grubbs will officiate.
She was born in McComb, MS on February 1, 1951, the second of four daughters to Hugh W. Felder and Billie Graves Felder.
A 1969 graduate of Gibson High School in McComb, she was always well-liked receiving many honors including cheerleader, class favorite, Spring Formal maid and Homecoming Queen.
Connie was very compassionate and chose a career in nursing. She received her LPN degree from SMCC. Connie married Rusty Waller, and together they had two daughters. She worked several years at McComb Extended Care but felt her higher call was being a stay-at-home mother.
Connie was blessed to have many friends. If you were her friend, you were blessed indeed, because she prayed for you when you were sick, remembered your birthdays, and always kept your confidences.
Connie moved to Brandon in 2014 to be near her daughters and their families. She was a faithful member of Park Place Baptist Church where she loved being known as Mamaw.
Over her lifetime, Connie was well acquainted with struggles. She was an overcomer in circumstances where others would have given up hope. Her death from chronic kidney disease was the last battle she fought, but she ended it with the same hope - that Jesus would never leave her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rusty. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Drew Harrington, her niece, Andrea Tynes, and step-father, Buford Cook.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Kelly Waller Jacobsen (Eric) and Korbi Waller McQueary; one granddaughter, Jana Jacobsen; three grandsons, Benjamin Russell Jacobsen, Jordan McQueary (Mandy), and Jason McQueary; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Grace McQueary.
She also leaves her sisters and their families, Jeanee Felder Shell (Jon), Fran Felder Tynes (Roy), and Lynn Felder Harrington (Mac); dear friend, Mary Seay; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and many other friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Shell, Tyler Shell, Luke Harrington, Joey Harrington, and Eric Jacobsen.
Connie will be greatly missed because she was always gentle, kind, and loving. She lived her life knowing she was a child of God and secure in her promise of eternal life through Christ Jesus. To Him be the glory!
