C.Q. Martin

C.Q. Martin, age 88, of Pearl, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 12:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Lodebar Cemetery. C.Q. was born on December 13, 1929 in Pelahatchie to the late Tom Watson Martin and Ida Vee Martin Traxler. He was a member of Lodebar UMC and moved his membership to McLaurin Heights UMC for health reasons. C.Q. served his country for 22 years in the Army, worked in the Civil Service for 17 years, and volunteered at the VA Hospital in Sacramento for 7 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, John C. Martin and step-father, Roy L. Traxler. He is survived by his wife, Editha Ramirez Martin; children, Evelyn GA, John John Ramirez, Cindy Martin, and Roger Martin; sister, Shirley Self; sister-in-law, Evelyn Martin; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
