Costello Richard “Dick” Wright, age 86, a resident of Forest passed away Saturday October 30, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday November 4, 2010 from the Tuscola Baptist Church, with interment to follow at the Harperville Memorial Park. Rev. Smith Sanders, Rev. Stan Givens and Rev. Taylor Gallman will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Wednesday November 3, 2010 at the funeral home and Thursday November 4, 2010 from 1pm till service time at the church.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents,Costolo and Florine Wright, his first wife Joanne Britt Wright and two brothers, Robert Neal Wright and Orrin Austin Wright.
He is survived by his wife Helen V. Wright of Forest, and five children Sherry W. Gallman (Andrew) of Houghton, N.Y., Robert Michael Wright, Jacquelyn Hudson both of Mobile, Al, Cherie Allen of Eight Mile, Al, and Shawn Todd (Mike) of Wilmer, Al. Mr. Wright is also survived by four sisters Mary Horowitz of Forest, Ms, Claudine Denson of Lena, Ms, Barbara Johnson, of Jackson, Ms, Billie Smallwood of Sharon, Ms and one brother Clyde Denson Wright of Seattle, Wa. He leaves behind a legacy of ten grandchildren, Benjamin Gallman, Darren Gallman, Jordan Wright, Jacob Wright, Kendall Wright, Elizabeth Wright, Steven Cochran, John McDuffie, Leslie Todd and Neal Todd, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Benjamin Gallman, Darren Gallman, Jacob Wright, Steven Cochran, John McDuffie and Neal Todd. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Johnson, Matt Johnson, Mark Horowitz.
