Robert Christopher “Cris” Keenum, 35, of Brandon, MS passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022.
Cris was born December 30, 1986, in Jackson, MS. He began his career at a young age as a Deputy for the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department where he spent many years protecting and serving his community and was proud to serve as a member of the Rankin County SWAT team. Cris later became self-employed installing irrigation and landscaping where he developed just as strong of a passion as he had for law enforcement.
Cris was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a loyal Mississippi State fan and enjoyed attending football games with family and friends. Cris never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
On April 2, 2022, Cris married his best friend and soulmate, Camrien Abernathy Keenum. Together they raised their beautiful Australian Shepard, Blu, who is their pride and joy.
Cris is survived by his wife, Camrien Keenum; Douglas and Joann Baldwin; Colisa Johnston; brother, Micah Johnston (Amanda); nephew, Reese; sister Alana, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held at The Venue, Pinelake Church, in Brandon, MS on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Lakeland Place Memorial Park in Brandon, MS.
