Curtis Engle Everett, 57, passed away Sat. Nov. 4, 2017 at Merit Health Rankin Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Nov. 9, 2017 from 5pm-7pm and on Fri. Nov. 10, 2017 from 12pm-12:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Fri. Nov. 10, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Everett Cemetery in Puckett, MS.
Mr. Everett was born in Mobile, AL and lived in Rankin County for 38 years. He served the Lord faithfully for many years as a deacon in church, and his last church home where he was a member was Park Place Baptist in Pearl, MS. Mr. Everett was a gifted carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands. He was a helper to everyone and would do anything for just about anyone, especially his family. He loved people and enjoyed helping everyone he knew. Mr. Everett was a dedicated family man, protector and defender, always taking care of those closest to him, especially his grandchildren. He was an animal lover and loved spending time with his dogs.
Mr. Everett is survived by his wife, Julie Everett; mother, Linda Martin Everett; two daughters, Daphne Birdno Mooney and Laura Leigh Potter, son-in-law Les Potter; four grandchildren, Reide Wallace, Gunner Wallace, Cate Potter, Essie Mooney and his sister, Teresa Everett Murphy. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Bud” Everett.
