Curtis Kelley Mullen, 90, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his home in Pearl. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 5 until 7 pm and Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 10 am until the 11 am Service from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Burial will follow with Military honors in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
Curtis Kelley Mullen was born on April 23, 1926 in Georgetown, MS to the late Bob and Mary Alice Dickerson Mullen. He served as Yeomen 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy, onboard the Destroyer USS Haggard. He owned and operated Southern Office Cleaning for over 37 years. He had been a resident of Pearl, MS for 19 years. He was a longtime member and Deacon at Oak Forest Baptist Church in Jackson and currently a member of First Baptist Church in Brandon. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Joyce R. Mullen; two children, Sandra Alice Mullen Kent (Boley) of Pearl, MS and Harold Curtis Mullen (Cara) of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Christy Kent Campbell (Jeremy) of Brandon, Carrie Alice Kent of Pearl, Elliott Mullen (Hannah) of Buda, TX, Malory Griffin (Justin) of McKinney, TX, and Molly Chenault (Bryan) of College Station, TX; and seven great grandchildren.
