Curtis W. Phelps, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home in Brandon.
Visitation is 5 – 8 pm today, September 27, 2011, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Curtis W. Phelps was born on February 8, 1943 in Selma Alabama to the late William Roy and Eva Dale Scholfield Phelps. He was a self employed construction worker and owned Phelps Construction Company. He was a friend to all who knew him. So loved and missed by all. He loved his garden and trees, fishing and hunting. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Diane Williams Phelps of Brandon, MS; his daughter, Lila Shook of Redmond, OR; one sister, Betty Earnest (Wayne) of Montgomery, Alabama; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and best friend, Charles Turner of Greenville, Alabama; and many family and friends who knew him.
