Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Ivy, age 45 and a resident of Raleigh, died Friday, May 6, 2022, in Jackson following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Saturday, May 14, 2022, from the First Baptist Church of Raleigh with interment to follow in the South Raleigh Christian Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Ramage and Rev. Carlton McNeer will officiate under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest. Visitation will be held from 5pm -8pm Friday, May 13, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Raleigh, and again on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 8am till service time.
Cindy was born on December 17, 1976, in Union, MS to her parents, Rev. Danny Chaney and Wanda Carol Beckham Chaney. She graduated from Raleigh High School in 1995 and pursued an LPN nursing degree from Jones Junior College. She later furthered her nursing studies at East Central Community College to become a Registered Nurse in 2007.
She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, and friend. She enjoyed helping, caring for, and supporting her family and friends. Cindy loved her church and her church family. She loved music and watching movies. She had a quick wit, a beautiful smile with a sweet and compassionate spirit. She loved the Lord and was looking forward to seeing Him.

She is survived by her loving husband, Damon Ivy, sons; Rhett Ivy and Drake Ivy, all of Raleigh; parents; Rev. Danny Chaney and Wanda Carol Beckham Chaney of Little Rock, MS brothers, Kendall (Gillian) Chaney, and Jody (Meagan) Chaney all of Little Rock, MS, sister Donna Brunet of Ellisville, MS, father-in-law, Roger Ivy, mother-in-law, Marsha Ivy, of Raleigh, MS, several nieces and nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew. She also leaves behind her cherished pet, Muffin.
Pallbearers are Rhett Ivy, Grant Byrd, Dustin Ivy, Denny Bryant, Derek Bruce, and Joseph Houston. Honorary pallbearers are Drake Ivy and the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Raleigh.
