Daisy Lee McDonald, age 70, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Tuesday January 24, 2012 at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton following an extended illness.


Graveside services will be conducted at 11am Friday January 27, 2012 from the Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Anderson and Rev. Steve Robinson will officiate.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 26, 2012 from 5pm to 8:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.


Mrs. McDonald was born in Newton County on October 22, 1941 to Clyde Cooksey and Dorothy Lee Cooksey. After completing high school she married Robert McDonald. Mrs. McDonald was a Real Estate agent for ERA, where she retired in 1996. She was a wonderful person who was well-liked by all who knew her, and loved by her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Billy Cooksey and Walter “Red” Cooksey and sisters, Doris Thompson and Louvenia “Cookie” Pearson.


Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband Robert McDonald of Brandon, MS. two sons, Brad McDonald (Amy) of Ward, AL and Scott McDonald of Brandon, MS and one grandson, Logan McDonald of Conehatta, MS. She is also survived by four sisters, Dot Bounds (Frank) of Marietta, GA. Clydene Bolton of Newton, MS Pam Collins (Ray) also of Newton, MS. Gail Tarver of Pearl, MS. and two brothers Jimmy Cooksey (Diane) and Otis Cooksey (Linda) both of Lake, MS.


Pallbearers were Raymond Clark, Clark Milling, Barkley Cooksey, Jerry Dale Pearson, Barry Pace and Charles Moulds.
