J. Dale Risher passed away early Sunday morning, December 24, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton, MS. Interment will follow at the Pulaski Cemetery. Reverend Reggie Tatum will officiate.
Mr. Risher was born on June 13, 1935 to the late Mack and Lollie Morehead Risher in Morton, MS. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Pulaski Community. Mr. Risher was Co-Owner and Operator of D & B Risher Trucking for 42 years and in the trucking business for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Buford Risher and one sister Joyce Bell Risher.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Ann Windham Risher; daughters Pam (Robert) Nutt of Brandon and Paula (Kirk) Wardlow of Springdale, AR; three grandchildren Jonathan (Krystie) Nutt of Ennis, MT; Joel (Austin) Nutt of Jackson, MS; and Anna (Alex) Lake of Kansas City, MO; four great grandchildren Katelyn Nutt and Jackson Nutt of Ennis, MT; Harrison Nutt and Catherine Nutt of Jackson, MS; two brothers Bryant (Linda) Risher; Hal (Jane) Risher, Sr.; one sister Frances (Atlee) Harmon; two sisters-in-law Jewel Risher and Faye Pate; brother –in-law Charles (Marie) Windham and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Nutt, Joel Nutt, Alex Lake, Hal Risher, Jr., Henry M. Foreman and Eric Nail.
Mr. Risher was a member of Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church, Forest, where memorial donations may be mailed to Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1481, Forest, MS 39074.
