Dale Windham, 79, of Homewood, MS, passed away Sunday, April 3rd, 2016, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5pm. to 8pm, Tuesday, April 5th. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 6th, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS. A graveside service will follow at Homewood United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brother Reggie Tatum, Brother Walter Hudson will officiate.
Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Honor Guard will be recognizing Mr. Windham's years of service.
Mr. Windham was a lifelong resident of Homewood, MS. He was a member of Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church in Forest. He loved God, his family, and church. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. After 28 years of service, he retired from Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
Mr. Windham was proceeded in death by his parents, Ruel O. Windham and Myrna Brown Windham.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Barnes Windham, one son, Paul Windham and his wife, Freda, of Homewood, two daughters, Nancy Windham Pogue and her husband, Johnny, of Forest, and Susan Windham Comans and her husband, Jamie, of Decatur, AL; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one Brother, Douglas Windham (Christine) of Pearl, MS, and one sister, Iva Nell Foreman (Cotton) of Homewood, MS.
Pallbearers are Justin Windham, Rickey Foreman, Rusty Foreman, Tommy Joiner, Norman Young and Ryan Merchant. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Windham. Henry Milton Foreman (Cotton), James Mitchell, Jerry Barnes and Mike Gibson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Bill Lewis, Sta-Home Hospice, hospice nurse Lydia Hall, Laura Jackson of Sta-Home Hospice, and care-givers, Rose Mary Latham, Jerri Hall, and Mary Lofton.
