Dan Otis Guthrie, age 64, of Harperville, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, April 7, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Lane and Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Harperville Memorial Park.
Visitation was held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mr. Guthrie was a longtime resident of Scott County, moving here from Oklahoma. He was a Baptist by faith and a welder with Bill Blossom Construction Company.
He is preceded in death by his son: Cody Daniel Guthrie and his father: Danny Alfred Guthrie.
Survivors include his wife: Lura E. “Lou” Guthrie of Harperville; one son: Alex Guthrie of Harperville; one daughter: Christi (Randall) Breedlove of Raleigh; ten grandchildren; his mother: Helen Argo Harrison; five sisters: Mary Diane Croxton of Laurel; Lisa M. Harris of Raleigh; Teresa (Frank) Gable of Georgia; Marie (Wayne) Cash of Lena; and Renay McDaniel of Carthage; three brothers: Rusty (Dana) Harrison of Meridian; Eddie (Theresa) Aust of Pea Ridge; and Michael Aust of the Cash Community; his step mother: Janice Fox.
Pallbearers were Landon Cash, Jeff Walters, Michael Aust, Eddie Aust, Craig Williams, Scott Green and John Croxton. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Cash and Bill Blossom.
