Dan Myers

Mr. Dan Myers, 73, passed away on Tues. March 16, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. March 19, 2021 from 10am-11:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 12pm on Fri. March 19, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Dan was born on June 22, 1947 in Hinds County, MS to the late Tally Shows Myers and Aline Benton Myers. He grew up in Wesson, MS and graduated in 1965 from Pinola High School. Dan attended Mississippi College and transferred to Mississippi State University where he graduated with a Masters Degree and enjoyed all things Mississippi State. Dan was a former Principal at Yazoo City Jr. High School and he also loved to go fishing. Dan was a faithful member of Brandon Baptist Church where he served on the church Security Team and the Benevolence Committee.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Riley Myers; four children, Kristi Myers Lanham (Jay), Misti Myers Cochran (Robert), Alan Whitlock (Tracy) and Kathy Milner (Todd); two brothers, Dr. Richard Myers (Harriet) and Dr. David Myers (Brenda); nine grandchildren, Kassidy Gillis, Tanner Gillis, Peyton Lanham, Maggie Lanham, Landon Cochran, Aislynn Cochran, Madelynn Cochran, Liam Mason, Nathan Alan Chandler and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the Benevolence Fund for Brandon Baptist Church at 100 Brandon Baptist Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
