Daniel Truett Yeatman, Retired Special Agent with Internal Revenue Service and Long time bus driver for Northwest Rankin School passed away September 4, 2012 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, September 7, 2012, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon prior to the service. A 5:30 p.m. graveside service will held in the Roseland Park Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS. Born January 19, 1948 in Hattiesburg, MS to William Yeatman and Gertrude Thompson Yeatman. He is survived by his son, Matthew Deen Yeatman; his former wife, Carol Deen Yeatman; his sister, Joyce Yeatman Craft (Van); Nephews, Mark Yeatman, Brad Craft, Stephen Magowan, Stewart Deen, Drew Deen; and niece, Melanie Yeatman Danner. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gene Yeatman, Sr. and his nephew, Gene Yeatman, Jr. Dan was an avid Golden Eagle fan, LOVED to salt water fish and treasured his weekly poker game with his friends. After his retirement from government service, he focused his life on the “precious children” from his neighborhood that he transported on his bus route. Dan was loved my many and he will always be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
