George Davis Gibson, 59 of Forest passed away suddenly Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 from the All Seasons Worship Center with burial in Lake Cemetery.
Dave was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Dink and Edna Earl Gibson on February 2, 1953. He graduated from Forest High School and Mississippi State University. Dave was employed by Mississippi State Hospital at the time of his death. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and was a member of All Seasons Worship Center where he played the keyboard for the praise team.
Dave is survived by his wife, Angela Goodwin Gibson; daughter, Megan Winstead (Nick); son, Macaulay Gibson; step-son, Bradley Morrison (Kerri); grandsons, Charles Wesley Winstead and Brayden Morrison; parents, Dink and Edna Earl Gibson; brothers, Steven Gibson (Anne), Dink R. “Randy” Gibson III (Jan),Michael Gibson (Gina); seven nephews, Capt. Marcus Allen Gibson,USAF, Dink R. Gibson, IV, Jason Pryor Gibson, John Davis Gibson, Dustin Whitlock, Davis Allen Gibson, Joel Thaxton Gibson; three nieces, Kathryn Anne Griffin, Heather Whitlock and Elizabeth Vaughn Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dink and Inez Allen Gibson of Indianola and Earl and Eva Goodson Davis of Lake.
The family request memorials be made to the Building Fund or Music Department at All Seasons Worship Center P.O. Box 1557 Forest, MS 39074.
