David Bailey

David Arthur Bailey of Brandon, originally from Burns, Ms., age 78, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. Visitation will be held on Wed. Oct. 6, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Thurs. Oct. 7, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS located at 1360 West. Government St. Brandon, MS 39042. Graveside Services will be held at 2pm on Thurs. Oct. 7, 2021 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery located at 998 SCR 541 Forest, MS 39074.

He was a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, an uncle, a nuclear engineer, an entrepreneur, and a pioneer in the telecommunications industry. David was a European classic car enthusiast, a grower of pineapples, blueberries and pomegranates, a lover of nature and animals, and a friend.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, and partner of 57 years, Jo Ann Parkman Bailey, his children and their spouses, Dwight Bailey, Lori and Ken Moskowitz, and Scott and Kaye Bailey, his grandchildren, Deeanna, Jay, Dustin, Cody, Jennifer, Lindsay, Bailey, Andrew, Preston, Brandi, Leo, and Gunner and his ten great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his father, Willie Preston Bailey, mother, Ruby Sanderford Bailey, and four brothers, Louie, Huey, Autrey, and Ed Bailey.
