David Wayne Brogdon, 51, of Forest, Ms, passed away Tuesday December 7, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson following an extended illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 11am Friday December 10 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Harperville Memorial Park
Bro. Bobby McKay and Bro. Martin “Buddy’ Gardner officiated the services.

Visitation was held from 5-8pm Thursday December 9, 2010, at the funeral home.

David was a Baptist, and was baptized and gave his life to our Lord in his teens. He loved his three sons and grandchildren. He was dearly loved by his family and all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

David had previously worked a Milwaukee Electric in Jackson as a Tool Foreman and later a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Brogdon, brother, Johnny Gardner and sister Peggy Clemments.

He is survived by his mother, Hester Brogdon Gardner of the Harperville community, sons Michael Brogdon and wife Ashley of Denver, Co, Buster Brogdon and wife Melissa of Jackson, Ms Darrell Brogdon and wife Anna of Forest, sisters Rose McCullough and husband Percy of Vicksburg, Ms, Betty Clemments and husband Neil of Laurel, Ms, Brenda Bassett of Forest, Ms., Diane Johnson and husband Clint of Sebastopol, Ms, sister-in-law Pat Jordan of Lake, Ms. Brothers, Jones Brogdon and wife Robin of Moselle, Ms and Martin Gardner and wife Kathy of Caldonia, Ms. He also leaves a legacy of grandchildren, Josiah, Jocelyn, Jonavan, Colby, Braylee, Zachary, Elizabeth and David Wayne Brogdon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Timothy “Tim Bo” Hill, Barry Massey, Josh and J.D. Bassett, Bryan Harvey and Jimmy Moore.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements.
