David Gibbons, Sr.
October 27, 1942 — August 8, 2015
David Ray Gibbons, Sr., 72, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Scott Regional Hospital. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 2pm Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with visitation starting at 12 noon. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gibbons; children, David Ray Gibbons, Jr. (Amy)of Brandon, Michelle Fortenberry (Scott) of Brandon, Grady Gibbons (Jennifer) of Petal and Destin Purvis of Brandon; brother, Bruce Scott Gibbons (Gayla) of Sparta, MO; 5 grandchildren, Greg Bankston, Courtney Lavender (Matthew), Hayden Gibbons, Mary Beth Fortenberry and Trevor Gibbons; 1 great grandson, Easton Lavender and 1 soon to be great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Belle Sheppard and father, James K. Gibbons and a brother, J.K. Gibbons.
