Dr. David Hunter Holmes was born in Oakville, TN and attended The University of Tennessee Dental School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and practiced dentistry 40 years in the Jackson area.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Holmes; daughter, Karen (Mike) Porter of Brandon, MS; son, Jon (Jackie) Holmes of Birmingham, AL; brother, Dan Holmes of Mesquite, NV; sister, Maurine McKibben of Boulder, CO; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
