David Marshall Jackson, Sr., 62, a resident of Richland, MS passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Jackson was a native of Rankin County. He was the son of Johnny O. Jackson, Sr. and Vera Grace Coone Jackson. He was married to Shelia Myers Jackson. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Jackson Ice Machines. He enjoyed being a Baseball coach at the Richland Youth Association. He loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny O. Jackson, Jr., Danny Jackson, Sr. and Jeffery Wayne Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shelia Jackson; son, David (Mary) Jackson; grandchildren, Peyton and Marley Jackson; sisters, Gloria (Wayne) Musgrove, Emily (JD) Hollis and Beth (David) Harrison; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
