David Aiken Milam, 87, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.
Mr. Milam was born January 15, 1931 in Greenville, MS to Jarret and Alva Milam. He was married to Glenda Jones Yarber Milam. He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Flowood, MS. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later worked in the pipeline industry for 60 years. He was passionate about his relationship with Jesus Christ and shared that love with all he met. Mr. Milam loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Milam was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Marie Lagrone Milam; parents, Jarret and Alva Milam; eight siblings and his granddaughter, Ginger Anne Hamilton.
Mr. Milam is survived by his wife, Glenda Jones Yarber Milam; his children, Kathryn Anne Hamilton, Donna Marie (Terry) Denton and Ginny (Barry) Zirulnik; step-children, Diane Yarber (Barry) Jones and Jaynie Yarber Maxey; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
