David Edward Moore, 85, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at Hospice Ministries, Inc. in Ridgeland, MS. Services are 2pm Thursday in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday and starting at 12 Noon until the service on Thursday.
Mr. Moore was born in St. Joseph, LA on October 1, 1928 to John Sidney Moore and Lula Hestle Moore. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Post #112. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa R. (James) Hardy, Paulette (Roger) Stuckey, James (Ann) Goode and Steven (Gail) Goode; brother, Thomas Ernest Moore; grandchildren, Tessa K. Moore, Angela Jordan, Glen Quinn, Lance Hart, Natasha Warren, Shane Goode, Justin Fant and Tony Fant. He was preceded in death by his wife Wenona Joan Moore in 2007.
