David Morgan

David A. Morgan was born February 12, 2002, in Yuba City, CA, and passed away March 8, 2019, in Collinsville, MS, at the age of 17.

A celebration of life will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, 9241 MS-19, Collinsville, MS 39325.

Graveside services will begin at 4:30 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2019,  at the Pine Ridge Cemetery , 457 Pine Ridge Rd., Lawrence, Newton County, MS 39336.

We love David and will cherish the memories he gave us and the way he brightened our lives. David was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of Collinsville First Baptist Church. David was a thoughtful, considerate and compassionate person with a smile that would melt your heart. David loved many sports including baseball, ultimate frisbee and football.  He especially enjoyed playing high school football with the West Lauderdale Knights. He loved and enjoyed nature, wildlife, fishing and just being outdoors.  David was a talented singer and musician and was learning to play the guitar.  He had a broad interest in all types of music, particularly folk and early rock.

David is survived by his parents: Paul & Young Morgan of Collinsville; one sister: Paula C. Morgan of Starkville; one brother: Dana P. Morgan of Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ; aunts and uncles: Alice Marie Williamson and spouse: Larry Williamson; Cris J. Morgan, Jr.; Margie Mae Pugh; Roger David Morgan; Chang Young Chul and spouse: Lee Mi Jeong; Chang Young Suk and spouse: Ha Toe Sung; Chang Young Mi and spouse: Heong Min Gu; and Chang Young Hun; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Cris Jack & Stella Mae Nelson Morgan; and maternal grandparents: Chang Chen Sung and Oh Sun Ja.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm and continue until service time on Thursday at the church.
