Deborah Alford, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 9 am Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Fannin United Methodist Church with services at 11 am Tuesday at the church. Rev. Rusty White will officiate.
Deborah was born October 28, 1948 in Singleton in her grandmother’s home and was 1 of 3 children born to Charles and Nina Cook. She was beautiful inside and out, loved the Lord and was very strong in her faith. Deborah was an active member of Fannin United Methodist Church. She graduated from Carthage High School (Class of 1966), and was also a graduate of MS Delta Jr. College (Class of 1968). Deborah worked as an Administrative Assistant for 45 years retiring in December 2013 in the oil and gas business. She never met a stranger and her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie Alford of Brandon; daughter, Wendy Varnado (Tanya) of Brandon; son, Jeff Allen (Leslie) of Raymond; step-sons, Stan Alford (Shay) of Brandon and Timothy Alford (Erin) of Pearl; sister, Stephanie Faulkner (David) of Madison; brother, Larry Cook of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Brady Renfro of Raymond, Reed and Sadie Allen of Raymond, Lillyanna and Addison Alford of Brandon.
