Deborah P. Hogan, a long-time resident of Brandon, MS passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS while surrounded by her daughter and son. She was 65.
Debbie was born on June 26, 1950 in Mendenhall, MS. She attended Jackson Public Schools and graduated from Wingfield High School in Jackson, MS. She worked at the former Rankin Medical Center for many years where she developed many dear, lifelong friendships. Debbie loved to read and travel but her family was her true passion.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Ross Hogan; her mother, Barbara Prine Russell; her father, Charles “Max” Russell; her aunt, Elsie Prine Everett and her uncle, Howard Prine.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert Jeffrey Hogan (Ann) of Watkinsville, GA; her daughter, Ashley Hogan Lott (Andy) of Biloxi, MS; her grandchildren, Samuel Robert Hogan, Ben Ross Hogan, Tyler Andrew Lott and Seth Hogan Lott. She is also survived by her cousins, Denise Everett Barnes (Jeff), Melba Everett Langston (Mitchell), Jill Everett Delp (Billy), Net Prine Embry (Michael) and Judy Prine.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A prayer and reading from scripture will be held at 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in the names of Ross and Deborah Hogan to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
