Newton, MS

Deborah Sanderson, age 66, a resident of Newton passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Her visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.  Services will be held at 2pm in the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest with burial in Damascus Cemetery.  Bro. Jerry Holmes will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Deborah was born in Forest, MS on September 17, 1955.  She loved her animals, cooking for her family, taking care of her family and was always a hard worker.  Deborah loved all her family but her grands and great grands brought a extra smile on her face.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Sistrunk and Lois Monk Sistrunk; son, Chris Sanderson; siblings, Kirby Sistrunk, Kat Gordon, Evelyn Holmes, Ricky Sistrunk and Robbie Sistrunk.

She is survived by her children, Angela Valentine (Ted) of Hickory, Leslie Hollingsworth (Chris) of Newton and Shawn Sanderson of Memphis; siblings, Johnny Ray Sistrunk, Mark Sistrunk and Nelda Elmore; grandchildren, Jonathan Valentine, James Valentine (Bethany), Angel Valentine, James Ferguson (Lindsey), Tristin Hollingsworth (Kristy), Debra Hollingsworth, Hannah Sanderson, Shane Sanderson,  Abigail Sanderson, Allison Sanderson, Kristina Sanderson, Gracey Sanderson and Tyler Sanderson; great grandchildren, Levi Hollingsworth, Ada Hollingsworth and Logan Ferguson; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be James Ferguson, Tristin Hollingsworth, James Valentine, Cody Vinzant, Michael Elmore and Cory Sistrunk.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Valentine.
