Debra Prothro Bozeman

Debra Prothro Bozeman, age 71, born on October 23, 1953, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, passed away on December 15, 2024, in Brandon, Mississippi. Debby lived a full life, marked by her devotion to family and her passion for music and art.

For 14 years, Debby dedicated herself to her career at Walmart, where she made many friends. She attended Louisiana Tech University.

Debby was a loving mother and grandmother, leaving behind her cherished daughter, Emily (Trey) Bozeman Messer of Brandon, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bailey Bozeman, Conner Bozeman, Avery Messer, Amelia Messer, and Ella Hayes Messer, who will carry on her legacy of love. Her siblings include Daphne (Mike) Ritter, Danna Hendrix, and Drew (Gina) Prothro, all from Haughton, LA.

Debby now joins her beloved son, Cory Hayes Bozeman, and her parents, Rev. H. Melton Prothro and Margaret Shingleton Prothro, who have preceded her in death.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, concluding with the burial at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
