Delia Lang Smith, 76, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 5 until 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 1 until 2 pm at Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2 pm from Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Burial will follow in Damascus Cemetery in Sebastopol, MS.
Delia was born on September 11, 1940 in Sebastopol to the late W. D. Lang and Mattie Crocker Lang. She had been a resident of Rankin County for nineteen years. Delia had worked as a Unit Secretary in the Nursery at St. Dominic Hospital for thirteen years. She was a member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always put others before herself.
Survivors include four sons, Myron Smith (Lisha) of Pensacola, FL, David Smith of Brandon, Larry Smith (Melissa) of Brandon, and Stephen Smith (Denna) of Morton; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Audrey Hammac (Miles), Ashton Smith, Madison Smith, McKenzie Smith, Justin Bradshaw (Caitlin), Danielle Smith, Jennie Smith, Victoria Porter (Devin) Grace Smith, and Curt Smith; two great-grandchildren, Mary Elise Jones, and Marc Bradshaw; and two sisters, Ruby Weems of Richland, MS, and Sadie Brunson (Bobby) of Pearl, MS.
