Deloris Diane Huff was born March 6, 1949 at Raleigh, Smith County, Mississippi to her parents, the late Elvin Junior & Edna Earl Windham Huff. She passed away May 15, 2018 at her home in Chalmette, St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana at the age of 69, after an extended illness.
A resident of the New Orleans area for many years, Deloris had lived in Chalmette, LA with her sister for a short time. She will be remembered for her love for her family and her generous spirit of giving; as quoted by her sister, Shelia “she would give you the shirt off of her back.” A photo fanatic and a “T.V. person”, soap operas and John Wayne episodes were among her favorites to watch. She was a collector of many things that she would acquire at local garage sales and enjoyed traveling. Echoed by her family, she was a very good woman and a Christian by profession of her faith. She was affiliated with Christian Life Fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Danny & Kenny; one niece: Stacy Kersh and one nephew: Michael Kersh.
Survivors include: two sisters: Shelia Huff of Pearl River, LA and Judy Kersh of Chalmette, LA; three nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, four great-nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
