Mr. Dennis Eugene Pace, age 62, a resident of the Polkville Community passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Visitation was held 5:00pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 8:30am – 1:30pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services were held 2:00pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in First Baptist Church Polkville Cemetery. Bro. Jeremy Price, Bro. Leon Stuart and Bro. Zach Kilpatrick officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Pace was born in Hinds County on September 20, 1955. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed the beauty of nature and a good fishing trip. Eugene and his wife, Brenda loved taking vacations with the adventure of spending an afternoon by a stream with a pan in hand, with the excitement of hoping to finding that gold glitter while panning for gold. He loved to cook and grill for friends and family. Eugene loved his family very much and his grandchildren and his first great grandson all were the apple of his eye. His love for life and big heart will greatly be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Grady Pace and Lenora Jean Mayfield Pace and brother, Charles Gary Pace.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bradshaw Pace of Polkville; 2 children, Michael Pace and wife, Jennifer of Bay Springs and Kyle Pace of Brandon; 2 step children, Sonia Crain and husband, James of Polkville and Greg Bradshaw and wife, Donna of Polkville; 9 grandchildren, Eliza Pace, Greenlea Pace, June Pace, Baleigh Pace, Justin Crain, Jada Crain, Brooklyn Crain, Luke Bradshaw and Taylor Turman; 1 great grandbaby, Hayze Crain; nephew, Chuck Pace; sister-in-law, Rita Easterling ; brother-in-law, Jimmy Paul Easterling and wife, Ruby and a world of friends.
Pallbearers were Greg Bradshaw, Luke Bradshaw, James Crain, Michael Pace, Kyle Pace, Justin Crain and Jimmy Paul Easterling. Honorary pallbearers were Mack Peacock, David Pirman, Clay Cooper, Michael Hudson, Jeff Chapman, Ted Crotwell, Andy Gardner, Bill Roberts and Jay Cole.
